Properties

The products is a white or light yellow mobile powder with odourless and tastless, 99% passes through 40 mesh seieve.

Softening temperature:130~140℃.The burn velocity is slow.

Equilibribrum moistrue content (at 23℃)6% at 50% rh, and 29% at 84% rh

It dissolves in both cold and hot water, but doesn’t dissolve in many organic solvents in ordinary condition. The viscosity changes very small when PH valueis around 2~12, but it reduces when PH value exceeds this range. The surface-treated HEC can dissolve only when PH value is modified to basicity.

Usage

1. Reaction auxiliary agent

HEC is used in the polymerization of vicy acetate. In order to improve the emulsion stability in broad PH value range,it aslo makes additives for many other suspended polymerization.

2. Petrolium well drilling

In many kinds of mud needed in petroleum well drilling, as a thickening agent, HEC makes mud have excellent flowability and stability. In well drilling, it can raise the carrying ability of mud, and inhibite a lot of water to inter oil layer

3.building conatruction and materials

HEC is an effective thickening agent and binder because of its good waterconserving, put it into mud in order to improve the mud’s fiowability, to put off water evaporating time, raise the initial intensity of concrete and avoid crackle.

4.       Tooth paste

HEC can keep the stability of tooth paste because of its high anti-salt and anti-acid capability. In addition, it makes tooth paste hardly dry.
